If you have flashed your Radio before, you cannot use the included utility to flash your radio.
While this guide is specific to the Verizon XV6800, you may use it with other Titan-based devices.
DISCLAIMER / IMPORTANT NOTICES:
Under no circumstances will I be responsible for any actions resulting from following this guide.
By continuing to read on further, you have accepted this fact.
However, if you follow the steps in this guide, the outcome is by no means guaranteed.
You must use the MicroSD Flashing Method to flash your radio after flashing a GPS radio.
However, there are risky alternatives as well, but this guide will not discuss them.
However, to do so properly, you must acquire an appropriate "Carrier Cab" for that carrier.
I recently flashed my new Verizon UTStarComm XV6800 (also known as the HTC Titan).
Since I had relatively good luck, I would like to share the steps of my install.
This is for anyone who might be interested in doing it themselves.
Solution #2: Reactivate An Old Phone
Potential Problems
Solution: UNCHECK the 'Allow USB connections' in ActiveSync's Connection Settings.
After doing this, you should disconnect and reconnect the mini-USB cable.
Cause: You (previously) flashed a radio to the device.
Solution: Update using the MicroSD card method.
Solution #1: Call Verizon
Dial #8899 from your phone, tell them you had to do a Hard Reset on your phone.
They should issue you a new A-Key or re-authenticate your phone over-the-air (OTA)
Use the online activation to activate an old phone, and then activate the xv6800 after.
Solution: Toggle M.IP PST Settings
If the phone doesn't have a signal, dial *22803 or *22802 and hang up when you get a signal.
Now that your phone has a signal, you dial ##778, it should bring up a program, press 'Edit'.
The unlock code is 000000 for Verizon users.
Select "View Info" > "M.IP Settings"
Change MIP_MODE, Reg. Retries, Reg. Timeout, and Pre-Reg. Timeout to other values.
Soft-reboot your phone.
When you acquire a signal again, dial ##778 once again.
Go back into Edit > View Info > M.IP Settings.
Change the values back to what they were:
MIP_MODE = M.IP Preferred, Retries = 2, Retry Timeout = 1750ms, Pre-Reg Timeout: 0.

Step 1: Unlocking / Flashing Bootloader
Step 2: Flashing the Radio ROM
Step 3: Flashing the OS ROM
Step 4: Installing the Carrier Cab
Step 5: Reprogramming and Authentication
For the MicroSD Update Method, you need a MicroSD card, MicroSDHC DO NOT WORK!.
I've updated my phone, so now what? Why not try out some GPS software?
I have gotten TomTom 7 to work, but the lock-times are inconsistent, as I don't have a data plan.
I recommend trying the Titan GPS Fix if you plan on using the GPS.
Also, if you are on Verizon Wireless and have data plan, I recommend using the Verizon AGPS Fix
I hope this guide has helped you successfully update your XV6800.
